  • housekeeping-deleting old uploaded images

    Hi,

I need some direction on managing uploaded images. Where do I delete old, obsolete images?

    Thanks in advance. Peace,

    Greg

    Hi Greg,

There might be a simpler way but if you search for all your posts and look at the ones with attachments, you might have to edit them and change or delete the old attachments.

Were you talking about attached pics?

If they are pics that are online somewhere and you're using a URL to make the pic come up, you can edit those posts as well and delete the old pic then repost a new one.

I'm not sure if this answers your question, let me know and I can find a more specific answer depending on if you're talking about attachments or URL.
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami

      Hi Aaron,

When I post a reply and upload an image there is a progress bar in the "manage your attachments" pop up. As the number of uploads increases, the red bar gets longer and the green bar gets shorter implying that things will soon be 'full'. Should I not be attaching so that a thumbnail appears?

      Thank sin advance,

      Greg

        Hi Greg,

There isn't a whole lot of space for attachments per account.

If you had an account at a site like photobucket or something, you can put unlimited pics, etc... Then when you post a message here, you can use the icon and enter the exact URL where the pic is up and the pic will display right in the post. It will be whatever size the pic is so bigger than a thumbnail. Anyway, that is how you can post as many pics without running out of space.

Most of my pics, I just upload to a folder online then just use a link to the pic by clicking on that pic icon.

        I hope that helps.
        Sincerely,
        Aaron Murakami

            Hi Aaron,

Thanks a bunch. I created a folder in some free space provided by my ISP. I will now link to that folder. Thanks for the suggestion.

            Peace,

            Greg
