  • rebuilding batterys with their parts

OK new guy on the block here. Obsessed with batteries now. I know just enough to get me into trouble.

I have 2 semi batteries. Matched set. They are shot. really shot. so I cut one apart. they set the plates all the way to the bottom of the container, and placed the pos plates in sealed bag seperators. and then called them "extended life technology" Ha that was a load of bunk.
So, I am going to collect the Neg plates from both and build a new battery and alum convert it. My question..
They are all neg plates. so in my mind I need to "form" the plates pos and neg. do I have to use acid to do that or do I even need to do it at all? Whats the correct procedure here?

    Battery Rebuild

Not sure what you gain from using older parts like that. If your application is an energy sink I suggest you take a look at this site and start with new NiMH cells for maximum output. The site's address is Battrx.com | Repair Your Rechargeable Batteries with Battrx
