"I've managed to burn water using my microwave oven. I'm looking for individuals who are willing to duplicate my experiments to prove that this really works. The first video of an experiment has been posted, and the next will follow. Maybe YouTube can be utilized to help save the environment. Exactly how hot is in question, I can use melting points and tell you that I have reached temperatures over 1500C."

Seems to be trying to duplicate the guy who is burning sea water.

I've known about the instabilities of microwaved water since I was a kid. Ever experience this?

The only thing about that video though is that it looks an awful lot like the plasma experiments people have already been doing with lit matches in the microwave. The small clip didn't give very many details.

About 5 years ago I tried to get a patent for a kettle like device to be used in a microwave.

I sort of wasted a lot of time since it was denied under the context that a heating container for a microwave had already been patented.

If I knew more what I was doing I might have been able to get a patent, probably at least one for design (which is more like a style rather than one for a utility purpose) but I only took it so far.

United States Patent Application: 0040056027 (http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.html&r=2&p=1&f=G&l=50&d=PG01&S1=634%2C083.APN.&OS=apn/634,083&RS=APN/634,083)

(Don't laugh at my middle name. I have 8 names all crammed and funny looking on my birth certificate. The first and last sound very normal. The others my parents (hippy at the time) picked up traveling around the world before I was born.)

This is awesome Jessica!

Even if you didn't get a patent, it speaks highly of your passion for innovation! I can definitely appreciate that very much!

Thanks Aaron,

I guess I did learn how to fill out the application.

I used a book by Nolo Press that walked you through the process.
