Engineer Invents Solution To Drought And Triumph

i want to share this:
Scientist found a way to combat the problem of drought in agricultural fields, but his ingenuity found no echo in the authorities so that the strong rain polymer capable of retaining water is marketed in 11 countries and triumphs not only in Mexico where they wanted him luck.

Thatís the story of Sergio Jesus Rico Velasco, engineer (IPN) National Polytechnic Institute, who created the silos water as called his invention-which reduces by 50 to 90 percent of the liquid consumption in agriculture.

he's using the powder that's commonly found in diapers to add to the soil to hold moisture for long periods of time. It's not a solution for drought, it's a band aide for the effects of drought. He didn't invent it, it's been around since the 70's.

What seems to be missing is the cost for application: $1,500 a hectare, which is more than most crops can make.

You can achieve the same results by adding mulches, compost, and biochar to your soil, and it will be considerably cheaper than a synthetic product.

I put tiles down on the ground to keep the water from evaporating (rocks work as well)
also use straw, wood chips, and charcoal in the soil so it holds more water,
between the 2 methods, the results are just amazing
