Sorry to be so obvious, but if you would type your questions into Google, the answers are all over the internet. A simple "school girl motor" search yields 2.3 million hits, with the first one at PESwiki: Directory:Bedini SG - PESWiki This link has complete instructions for beginners.

In Bearden's book, the circuit would be called "The Mono-Pole Motor". Quite a number of different variations are presented for charging batteries directly, or for charging capacitors and then discharging them.
