Interesting information regarding Melatonin
5-htp, L-theanine, are both good supplements, but make sure you do not take them too close to going to sleep...not after mid afternoon. Contrary to popular belief out there that these help a person sleep, they, in fact, will cause restless sleep.
One vitamin company, Schiff, actually combines L-theanine, with their melatonin supplement, saying it will help a person sleep better. This is NOT true. L-theanine will relax someone, but it also stimulates serotonin production, which is NOT good when one is trying to sleep
