Hi Adrienne
I'll give you some examples of different types of prosperity that I've noticed in my life lately. Maybe that will help.
I have been getting the sweetest corn on the cob at the store I shop at *consistently* now for a month or more. That is significant to me because I used to be disappointed when buying corn because so often it wouldn't be any good. Now it's good every time!
The same has been true of watermellons, but I must give credit for that to my son because he is the watermellon-picker and he is VERY good at it! Every watermellon has been sweet for a couple of summers or more now and there were other summers where several did not get eaten because they just didn't taste good.
I went to Kohl's (department store) the other day to get my growing-like-a-weed-son some new clothes. I had put it off till I got a good percent off coupon from them. Most of the time I get the standard 15% off, but this time I got a 20% off coupon! Yay!! So we went shopping. When we checked out I got a really nice clerk and after she keyed in the discount, she said something about "Oh, I don't care. I don't know you." I asked what she meant and she said she had given me *25%* off instead of 20%! I'm not sure whether it was an accident or intentional, but either way, she didn't correct it and I saved even more on my purchase!
During that same shopping trip, my son was able to find more of some shirts that he really likes and now they were marked down to $5.60! Can't beat that!
I got a Zune (mp3 player) about a month ago and have been enjoying it. I hadn't bought any accessories for it yet as they are quite pricey for me right now. At Kohl's we saw some iPod accessories and I stopped and looked and saw a set of small speakers. I didn't think they would work for my Zune though, as it is wider than an iPod. But my son looked a bit more closely at it and pointed out to me that it said they worked with all mp3 players. I looked at it again and decided that since it was marked down to $7.00 that I would give it a try. And it DID fit my Zune and I LOVE IT!!! I can now listen to my Zune w/o headphones and all for $5.25 after my unexpected higher discount!! Yay!!
One of the reasons I like shopping at Kohl's is not only do they have GREAT sales, but I've had it happen several times that the price on an item was even lower than what was on the tag! Yay!!
Yesterday we decided to check out Dollar Tree to find my son some sunglasses. We hadn't been to a dollar store in probably a year. Wow! Did we find a lot of cool stuff! My son's birthday is in a couple of weeks and I found some Luah Party plates, napkins, decorations, etc. I wasn't sure he would go for it, but when I showed it to him, he liked it. He said he's "out of" the movie theme birthdays now. By stopping in for sunglasses, we just lucked into finding some party stuff that was cool, that he liked and you certainly couldn't beat the prices! I was able to get all his party ware for a LOT LESS than I have previously!
On the way home, we found out that a road side vegetable stand that we loved going to is back this year. It was closed last summer and we were afraid that the man who ran it had died (he was elderly). It turns out that the city (think little bitty town!) was re-zoning and was trying to prevent them from staying there. Petitions were signed and some big-wig helped and now they are allowed to stay. Yay!!!
I just a few days ago set up my new computer, but it came with a standard keyboard and mouse and I am used to an ergonomic keyboard and wireless optical mouse. I'm not done with my old computer, so can't transfer those to the new one yet. My son was looking for something the night before last and found his old wireless ergonomic keyboard and mouse and brought them to me!! With them, he found some speakers that he was able to hook up to his laptop - something he had mentioned wanting to look at Wal-Mart for just a day or two before!! He's a master manifestor!!
Well, this has become a really long post, but hopefully it gives you an idea of how prosperity can appear in another form besides cold hard cash. And as Illusions taught us in "The Magic Pill", the more you notice the good things happening, the more good things there are to notice happening!
