Finally got my stainless steel plates and the setup running.







I did not add enough electrolyte to get a good amp draw from just 12V, so I had to increase the voltage. The production seems very good. I used distilled water and KOH as electrolyte. From my many experiments I found the distilled water with electrolyte to be the best choice if you want to avoid the brown scum (those few brown spots in the pictures are from the previous non stainless steel plates). Also tested the flashback arrestor - it works very well. But you want the bronze wool to be wet in your flashback arrestor, because it can slowly start to burn if not wet. I will add more electrolyte to get this baby work on just 12v. I will keep you informed.
