I've had lots of help from PATHS in real estate, even on the regular modules. I can't image what the custom would do
About six months ago I was on the Succ. Liv. mod (can't remember exactly which one now) and had a vacancy in a single family home I rent out.
I had a listing in yahoo but wasn't getting calls. I went to the house and found a note on the porch from a couple who wanted to rent. Apparently the yahoo ad did not have any contact info for me.
They moved in and were wonderful, paying quite on time all the time.
Along the way I went on the money module and the synchronicity one (and kept up the Succ. Liv. ones).
Fast forward, the couple breaks up. He claims now he had given rent to her and she never sent it.
Somehow I start getting calls from other people interested in renting. After the third one, I check yahoo and my ad has mysteriously been reactivated

. I've never seen a charge for it. Is this because I complained about not having contact info in the ad like 6 months ago ?!?!
All I know is now the place is vacant, the couple ended up to pay back all but a small amount of what was owed (after the security deposit) which will be a tax write off for me.
I get to go apply some of the NASA insulating paint which I've wanted to put in the place ever since I heard about it (careful what you ask for, lol) because it has siding and is not too well insulated, and have several parties who want to move in.
I never really stressed over what was going on either, which is different than how I would have been in the past.
This month I had one of my tenants in the tri-plex I live in have some identity theft issues. He is ultra responsible and seems like he works all the time. He called me apologizing profusely that he would be late with his rent, and he self imposed a $100 late fee on himself
He's paid some at this point and I have a check he has given me for the rest just waiting until Friday as he asked me to wait to deposit it.
I am doing fine financially and the extra $100 is just a bonus to me.
Anyways, congrats to Aaron and thanks to PATHS!
