Interesting questions
Hi satur9poet,
You bring up several very interesting questions.
Science utilizes the scientific method to create a systematized knowledge of an object of study.
Scientific method is defined as-principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.
Spirituality is the body of knowledge of things spiritual.
How exciting that we can study things spiritual and create, via the scientific method, a systematized body of knowledge of things spiritual.
Regarding how I came to know God, it is on a personal level and not one the would stand up to the scientific method (at least today).
Regarding how to prove the existence of God or "the divine", this can be proven via the scientific method.
One way is via TRV. This is more involved of a post than I can get into right now. However, the methodology of strict TRV protocols meet most, if not all of the requirements of the scientific method.
Another method that many use to prove the existence of the divine is by calculating the mathematical possibilities of thousands of prophecies being fulfilled. I am not versed in this study, but it appears to stand up to the scientific method.
Common sense tells each individual on the planet that the divine exists, all one has to do is observe nature.
A related subject is covered in the following post regarding the oxymoron of an "open-minded skeptic".
Open minded skeptic?
I will definitely be visiting this thread again!
